Problem
In late 2022, LeadGenius faced a notable drop in campaign creation, resulting in potential churn risks, lower MRR, and reduced contract stability. The complexity of the existing campaign builder led to user frustration and high abandonment rates.
Solution & Result
This was a team effort, hypothesis-driven, and experiment-focused design process.. The Growth team consisted of three engineers, a Product Manager, and a Data Analyst.
We redesigned the campaign builder into a step-by-step wizard. The redesign focused on simplifying inputs, reducing cognitive load, and improving clarity. We added progress indicators to help users understand where they were in the journey, and layered in contextual tooltips and inline help to reduce friction at key decision points.
Once the redesign was complete, we ran an A/B test to validate the impact by comparing the new experience to the original.
The outcome was a meaningful improvement across key metrics.
